Shaving Soap - Samples

This is the same shaving soap we sell in 2 oz sample pucks.

The backbone of our soap comes from our use of kokum and cocoa butters.  Both kokum and cocoa butter is one of the highest sources of palm free stearic acid, even more than tallow, making our soap one of the creamiest, fastest lathering soaps on the market.  To perfect this unique recipe we blend Mango and shea butters with castor oil and a touch of jojoba for balance and conditioning.  Then Sodium lactate, to act as a lather booster and humectant.  Finally, cruelty free silk is added to further increase and improve the lather, providing a “super-slick” feel.  All together this soap makes for one hell of a great shave.  Conveniently packaged in a 6 oz 4" wide plastic container for easy loading and storage.

Ingredients: Saponified cocoa butter, kokum butter mango butter, shea butter, castor oil, jojoba oil, palm free stearic acid, sodium lactate, essential oils, tussah silk

2 oz

We are able to ship up to three samples at a reduced shipping cost of $3.00 for all CONUS locations.

We have collaborated with SweetCakes to provide these incredible scent options

Masculine Musk: A clean, masculine musk that somehow manages to be fresh and phenomenally sexy at the same time.  What sets this one apart? The topnote is accented with a little-known Indonesian essential oil called "jatamansi," which adds mystery to the blend, and bottom notes of sandalwood, patchouli, and amber boost its staying power.

Midnight in Tunisia: This intoxicating blend begins with floral notes of Tunisian jasmine petals, tuberose, and lily of the valley. The body of the fragrance is a melody of sweet grapes and berries with rich clove oil from Madagascar and Tahitian vanilla. The drydown consists of Egyptian sandalwood and Virginian cedarwood.

Santa's Pipe: Captivating top notes of damask rose and geranium lead to a heart of sweet orange honey. But this fragrance is all about the bottom notes -- a warm, sweet, smoky, comforting accord of vanilla, patchouli, and honeyed pipe tobacco.

Sea Spice:  A masculine ocean scent sure to please anyone who likes the straightforwardness of fragrances like Bay Rum or Spicy Lime. Fresh top notes of ozone and citrus lead to a strong middle of sea kelp, champagne, and salty air. This shoreessence is completed with soft notes of driftwood, musk, and just a hint of Indonesian clove oil.

Toasted Almond: A sweet, nutty, creamy almond blend with vanilla and amber wood in the drydown and the unmistakable rich notes of oven-toasted almonds throughout.

    Siliski Soap Samples

Posted by Scott on Oct 28th 2018

I tried five different samples, and they were all excellent performers. It was easy to create a dense and slick lather that held up without wilting over a leisurely three-pass shave. Just top notch lather.

Scentwise, the scents are on the faint side if you sniff the puck directly, but they rise to a pleasant medium strength once lathered. The scent descriptions on each page are pretty accurate; I wasn't surprised by any of the scents when I actually got them. Personally I liked the Appalachian Forest best, but obviously YMMV.

In summary: these are top notch soaps at reasonable prices. Great stuff!

    Siliski Soaps samples

I placed an order for 3 samples from Siliski Soaps recently. Chose Santa's Pipe, Patchouli Blend, and Masculine Musk. All 3 had nice natural scents that were the perfect strength. Was a bit concerned about Santa's Pipe since it is a spicy scent, but had no burning issues whatsoever.

As for performance: I have tried close to 300 different soaps and know what qualities I prefer from a shave soap. these soaps whipped up a thick lather with minimal effort. the lather had that shiny quality and no small bubbles. Lather held a ton of water, which is really great since not all soaps are capable of this. Slickness was perhaps the most notable aspect of this soap, was so slick I almost dropped the razor. Although, if I had to say one negative thing, it would be concerning post residual slickness. Once the soap is rinsed off buffing may be difficult, but this is just me trying to find any possible flaw. Have been very impressed with this soap, which is really saying a lot. Post shave kept the skin feeling refreshed and hydrated.

This is a highly underrated artisan IMO, top notch customer service, and a product that can compete with top tier soaps. Would not hesitate to recommend Siliski Soaps to anyone that may be curious.
